BrightData account troubles
BrightData's dashboard throws confusing labels, and its anti-fraud can decline your first payment. Most of it has a simple fix.
One rule runs through all of it: retry once, carefully. Repeated flagged attempts can get the account suspended.
A card payment gets declined
BrightData's anti-fraud flags card payments on fresh accounts, most often when the billing details don't match the card exactly.
- Check the billing address and name against the card, then retry once.
- If it declines again, use PayPal — it usually clears where a flagged card doesn't.
- A flagged payment may ask for document verification: an ID and a photo of the card. That review takes up to two business days.

"Suspended by system" and other misleading labels
BrightData's labels are unreliable. "Suspended by system" has appeared on accounts that scrape perfectly well, and "Low balance" can sit there almost permanently.
So Huntit, not the dashboard, is where you find out whether your account works — it checks what the account can actually do. When Huntit says your key is Verified, trust that over a scary label.
If the account really is suspended over billing, adding funds lifts it straight away. A BrightData-locked suspension is rarer and different: only their sales or account team can lift it, and there's nothing you can do from your side.
ID verification and KYC
BrightData's KYC and business verification — the company-identity flow in Settings → Profile — applies only to its residential proxy network.
It has nothing to do with what Huntit uses your account for, so you never need to complete it. An account collects perfectly well with KYC showing "Not verified."
If you're chasing a specific rejection message, the key-rejection fix table maps each one to its cause and fix.
