Why Huntit uses your provider accounts
Huntit runs on four provider accounts that belong to you — BrightData, Apify, Google Gemini, and YouTube. You create them once, connect their keys, and from then on you pay the providers directly, at cost. Huntit never resells their usage or adds a markup.
Only three of them ever bill you. The YouTube Data API is free: no billing step, nothing to fund, no spending to watch. It is on the list because Huntit needs a key for it, not because it costs anything.
You connect all four during first-login setup, which usually takes under 30 minutes.
Why bring your own keys
These four providers are what Huntit uses to find, track, and analyze content, each powering a different part. Instead of bundling their cost into a subscription, Huntit has you hold the accounts yourself. That means three things for your agency:
- You pay at cost. Whatever each provider charges for the work you do, that is exactly what you pay — invoiced by the provider, not by Huntit. There is no per-post fee on top.
- Your spend is transparent. Every dollar shows up in your own BrightData, Apify and Google billing dashboards, which stay the source of truth for what you actually paid.
- Your data and accounts are yours. The keys, the money in the accounts, and the usage all sit in accounts you own and control.
The one real cost of the model
Bringing your own keys is the small price of the arrangement: four signups instead of one, and a few provider bills instead of a single line item. In exchange, Huntit puts no cap on how many clients, brands, or profiles you track — the provider usage is the only variable cost, and you see it directly.
The amounts are smaller than most people expect, and you never have to guess at them. Finding and reading a post costs a fraction of a cent on most platforms; a deep AI analysis costs a few cents. The only fixed monthly line is your Apify plan.
Settings → Billing & costs keeps a running estimate of what your agency is spending and what caused it, so the number is in front of you rather than waiting on an invoice — what your usage costs goes through it properly.
Each key is tested the moment you save it, and setup doesn't finish until every account is genuinely usable — so a typo or an unfunded account surfaces while you're still setting up, rather than at the first missed post.
